Alternative to LOIC in wake of arrests

In the wake of numerous arrests, due in part (potentially? maybe? could be?) to lack of anonymity in the Low Orbit Ion Cannon (LOIC),  anonymous has announced via AnonOps a new tool that could potentially replace LOIC.

The tool is called – the RefRef.  And one of the stated goals of the tool is to better shield users from identification.  In coverage I’ve seen, I’m haven’t seen enough to be sure about the technical specifics.  There appears to be a more application-focused approach compared to LOIC – coverage I’ve seen says it works by “leveraging JavaScript and vulnerabilities within SQL”.

I guess more details will be forthcoming in the days ahead…
